AltNewsMedia provides an alternative to the fake news mainstream media narrative.
BBC 5 Live presenter Danny Baker (@PRODNOSE) tweeted the following earlier today.
A few hours later, he was sacked with immediate effect.
Why? Well, it was seen by some to be “racist’, given the mixed-race heritage of the Duchess of Sussex. Plenty of “people of colour” such as “broadcaster Scarlette Douglas, who works on BBC5 Live podcast The Sista Collective and The One Show” pointed out he had to go.
He had no chance of career survival in the festering PC swamp that is the BBC. That’s the same BBC that seeks to deny white people the opportunity of working for it. Racist, much?
I think his tweet was remarkably clumsy, I think his tweet was very injudicious but I don’t think it was racist. Baker has subsequently pointed out that…
Now Sky at the door.
Would have used same stupid pic for any other Royal birth or Boris Johnson kid or even one of my own. It’s a funny image. (Though not of course in that context.) Enormous mistake, for sure. Grotesque.
Anyway, here’s to ya Archie, Sorry mate.#Occam #Razor

But there is no room for mistakes any longer, and certainly not at the BBC. Or at least not for some people.
This story also demonstrates how social media activity can destroy careers. Baker started the day in a job but ended it on the Dole!
My sympathy for Baker is somewhat diminished by his response to a similar Twitter mob faux outrage attack on Roseanne Barr a few years ago. He was far from sympathetic towards her. Now he is in a similar position.
I also bring to your attention this tweet by former BBC stalwart Shelagh Fogarty..there was no outrage
And then there was this from BBC much loved celeb edgy “artist” Banksy…there was no outrage.
In fact, this hasn’t stopped the BBC fawning over Banksy.
The reality is that some tweets are injudicious and some will offend.
I believe we should ALLOW people in the media the right to potentially offend and if you don’t like what they say, just block them.
But giving in to the mob never ends well!
