Well, the good news is that the UK is the first country in the world to give regulatory approval for the Pfizer Biotech vaccine to counter Covid to be rolled out. The politicians are exultant. The media is exuberant. The Christmas bells ring out with joy. What can possibly go wrong?
Whilst all sane people recognise that vaccines have an important role to play in combating disease, there are a number of valid concerns that the pro-Covid vaccine lobby has to answer.
Simply whining about “anti-Vaxxers” being ‘conspiracy theorists” does not cut it.
So here is a starter menu of 5 simple questions.
There is little doubt that there is a huge PR operation in play. Media is the battleground and it is 100% in favour of the Vaccine. There is no room for those who express concern.
But let us quickly visit the UK ten years ago.
Following the swine flu outbreak of 2009, about 60 million people, most of them children, received swine flu the vaccine.
It was subsequently revealed that the vaccine, Pandemrix, can cause narcolepsy and cataplexy in about one in 16,000 people, and many more are expected to come forward with the symptoms years later.
And here is the kicker…
“The Pandemrix vaccine was manufactured by pharmaceuticals giant Glaxo Smith Kline, which refused to supply governments unless it was indemnified against any claim for damage caused. The company will pay the bill, and claim the money back from the government.”
Is this tragic history about to repeat itself even as the media cheers it along?
