GENDER THEORY: SCIENCE vs LEFT-WING POLITICS

Share

We have been getting increasingly barraged with the ideology that gender is a social construct, which essentially means that gender is subjective and not the result of nature. That anyone can identify as whichever gender they wish to.

Any criticism of transgenderism is potentially deemed criminal behaviour and that those engaging in it may face police censure if not possible prosecution and imprisonment.

The transgender ideology ostentatiously begins to spread everywhere: from the use of so-called non-binary pronouns and neopronouns (It won’t take you long to notice people on Twitter putting these ridiculous ‘he/him’, ‘she/her’  in their profiles), to gender-neutral toilets, to trans athletes cheating in women’s competitions. Also, there’s the threat of misgendering – Remember that man who raged at store clerk after he calls him ‘sir’ instead of ‘ma’am’?

These ideas are based on theories and even left-wing politics – not on empirical facts. Essentially, people who preach gender theory denigrate science because they claim that their theories should trump existing scientific research.

So, here are five reasons why gender theory is utter nonsense:

1. Men and women are biologically different

There are brain differences between gender. That’s just fact. According to Dr  Larry Cahill of Stanford University, human brain is a sex-typed organ and that there are distinct anatomical differences in neural structures and accompanying physiological differences in function.

Although the brains of men and women are highly similar, they show consistent differences that have important implications for each sex.

Gender theorists can theorise all they want but that is not enough to alter biology.

2. Transwomen are not women

Transgender is an umbrella term that describes people whose gender identity or expression does not match the sex they were assigned at birth. For example, a transgender person may identify as a woman despite having been born with male genitalia.

Transwomen are not biologically female. When Germaine Greer expressed her views on transexuality she was un-platformed from a talk at Cardiff University.

Logic should tell you that just because you chopped off your penis and wear a dress doesn’t make you a woman. Self-identification should not legally make you a woman. And you should not be allowed to compete at beauty pageants intended for women either.

3. Transgender ideology causes child abuse

It’s one thing preaching the trans ideology to adults, but to teach school children that ‘all genders can have periods is simply ridiculous.

Dr Michelle Cretella, President of the American College of Pediatricians, expressed concerns that transgender ideology has infiltrated her field and is producing large-scale child abuse. Children are being brainwashed into abandoning the natural process of discovering reality, and replacing it with a sick doctrine that says that all is relative. This evil needs to be stopped.

4. Some people regret transitioning

Some people call it ‘transgender regret’ – when you change from one gender to another and then feel, somehow, you’ve made a mistake. Others call it ‘detransitioning’ or a ‘reversal’. And this is not rare. In 2017, James Caspian, an experienced psychotherapist, attempted to undertake a research project into this phenomenon. But his university, rejected his research proposal on the grounds that it was ‘politically incorrect’ and ‘might cause offence’.

5. No one cares what you do with you personal life

Incidentally, for the record, I am a happily married gay man and I don’t attend any of those gay pride events – I just don’t see the need to flaunt my sexuality in the streets. Because these days nobody really cares what you do in bed.

In the same vein, I wonder if these people who peddle that trans ideology (which includes the BBC) realise that no one actually cares what trans people do in their own personal lives.

It is when you start telling people how to think and feel that it becomes a problem. People can self-identify what they want but please don’t expect everyone to share your fantasy.

GENDER THEORY: SCIENCE vs LEFT-WING POLITICS

No one give a fiddler’s fart what you do in bed. So why make so much fuss about it?

Take away

Gender theory is ridiculous and infuriating. People don’t really care how you wish to self-identify yourself. You can self-identify as radical intersectionalist poet like Titania McGrath – for all we care. But this becomes a problem when this insanity becomes incorporated into policies.

I could not put it more elegantly than Carlos Flores when he described transgenderism as being absurd: ‘How a man’s identifying as a woman will personally affect me, you, or John Doe is irrelevant. What is relevant is whether we will make public policy and encourage social norms that reflect the truth about the human person and sexuality, or whether we will obfuscate the truth about such matters and sow the seeds of sexual confusion in future generations for years to come.’
